As mentioned in our blog ‘Student Repeat Collaboration – Nottingham Trent University‘, in July we partnered with Nottingham Trent University for a second consecutive year.
This time… Marketing!
At the beginning of the year, we set out ambitious plans to transform both our work output and our brand image.
We didn’t want the rebrand to stop there.
NTU approached us and we suggested an MSc project to develop the strategy further and build on the foundations we’ve laid.
The aim set out in their report was: ‘…to provide the company with insights on how they can tailor specific marketing strategies to compete effectively within the construction industry.’
The students then went on to add: ‘The current rebranding initiative provides an opportunity for DCC to evolve and strengthen its marketing approach. Rebranding can enhance perception, value, visual identity and also provides the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage.’
They assessed items such as:
Following this research, they produced a suite of information for us to consider and implement as part of our 3 month, 6 month and 1 year marketing strategy.
We will now endeavour to implement the suggestions and look forward to engaging with NTU again next year – we wonder what area of the business they’ll tackle next!
